PLATTSBURGH — Clara L. Agnew, 89, of Flynn Avenue, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at the CVPH Medical Center. She was born in Plattsburgh on May 7, 1923, the daughter of Forest and Grace (Breyette) Comstock.
Clara was a member of St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville, and the Lady's of St. Joseph's Club in Treadwells Mills.
She married William M. Agnew on June 9, 1941, at St. Alexander's Church. William died on March 14, 2001.
Survivors include two sons, Alfred Agnew and his wife Mert of Salem, Ill. and Herbert Agnew and his wife Dianne of Plattsburgh; one daughter, Mary Reyell of Torrington, Conn.; one sister, Elizabeth Lashway of South Glens Falls, N.Y.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband; three brothers, Bernard Comstock, Stanley Comstock, and Robert Comstock; and two sisters, Myrtle Mousseau and Bertha Mousseau.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at at 10 a.m. Tuesday, in St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Chazy.
