"With the death of Mrs. Mary M. Baldwin, 81 years old, which occurred at 5 o'clock this morning at her home 2305 Washington, there is removed one of the early pioneer mothers of Parsons, KS.
Mrs. Baldwin was interested in the civic, church and cultural activities of Parsons in the formative period of its life. She was the last surviving charter member of the Ladies of the GAR, also a charter member of the Washington Avenue Methodist church and an active worker in the Constant Workers Sunday school class of that church. She also held membership in the DAR and the Rebekahs.
She was a woman of modesty and charm and by her friendliness, made hosts of friends." per her obit.
