I was going through my grandmother's Browning research and found out that Sarah Conner's first spouse was Alexander Means Browning, who also has a find-a-grave page. Sarah thought he was dead and took herself and her children out of state to Rusk County in Texas. A.B. couldn't find his family, so he presumed they were dead. As a result, both remarried other people! The published story is that A.B. eventually reunited with his children before his death in 1917. Great story.
