Edith M. "Edie" Connolly, of Springfield, passed away at 1:50 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2002 at Memorial Medical Center. Edith was born March 26, 1929, the daughter of Orville and Edith Carpenter Lynn in Riverton, IL. She married Patrick Connolly; he preceded her in death September 3, 1993.
Edith, a 1952 graduate of memorial Medical Center School of Nursing, was a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and Eagles Club.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister: Sylvia Vaughn and a half brother: Emmett Lynn.
She is survived by three sons; one daughter; two sisters; one brother.
Graveside services August 5, 2002 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Reverend John Titus officiating.
