Blanton, native of Tehama county, born October 2, 1881, died Saturday evening in the Enloe hospital, Chico, where she had made her home the greater part of her life. Mrs. Blanton had been in ill health for some time.
Her parents the late Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Conway crossed the plains in the early days and settled at Cohasset, Tehama county.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Nugent Funeral home in Chico. Interment will be in the Chico mausoleum. Rev. Herbert Werner of the Marysville Presbyterian church will officiate in the absence of Rev. Harrison Pillsbury, pastor of the Chico church.
Surviving Mrs. Blanton are her husband, John C. Blanton of Chico, two daughters, Mrs. E.T. Fisher of Boise, Idaho, Mrs. James D. Poole of Marysville, four brothers, Elmer A. Conway in the Canal Zone, J. Earl of Klamath Falls, Ore., Howard C. of Chico and Charles L. of Los Molinos.
