A native of Edina, Mo., Mr. Cook was 99.
Mr. Cook had been a resident of Oregon since 1901 and had lived in Portland most of that time.
He was a graduate of Portland Academy High School and was a member of the 1913 graduating class from what is now Oregon State University.
He worked for PP&L for 35 years, retiring in 1950.
Mr. Cook was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and is survived by his wife of 52 years, Helen Cook of Portland; a son Roy of Yachats; a daughter-in-law, Laura cook of Bellevue, Wash.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
