Aaron Oliver Cook, Jr. was born April 9, 1929 in Alamo, GA to the late Aaron Oliver Cook, Sr. and Abby Hall Stewart. He was a graduate of Tuskegee Institute (now University) and the University of Georgia. Formerly employed by the Bibb County Board of Education, he was a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and several civic organizations.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Jones Cook; daughters, Antoinette (Danny) Smith and Judith Cook; grandchildren, Daniel Jason (Bernadette) Smith and Sara (Morris) Shields; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Alice Shipp and Annie Pearl Little.
