Arthur Harrison Cook, 77, of 903 E. Reservior St. died at 6:25 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Hospital.
He was born at Buffalo, the son of the late James M. and Alice McCallister Cook.
After completing his schooling in this area, Mr. Cook farmed north of Springfield until 1946 when he retired and settled in Springfield.
During the past 20 years, he was self employed, and held various jobs around town to keep occupied. He was employed by a Williamsville grain elevator, and he also was employed by the Norside Restaurant in Springfield.
Survivors include two sons, Arthur H. Jr., of Springfield; and James (Bob), of Battle Creek, Mich.; one step-son, Charles O. Pumphrey, of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. Velma Mead, of Battle Creek; four borthers, Jesse, David, Tom, and Robert, all of Springfield; one sister, Mrs. Delphia Manley, of Niantic; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Remains were at Bisch Memorial Home where services were held.
Burial was in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
