David Ernest Cook, 75, of 2 Reed Court, died at 6:25 p.m. Thursday at his residence.
He was a member of Fifth Presbyterian Church.
Born in Sherman, Mr. Cook was the son of James Madison and Alice Lillian McCallister.
His wife, Mary Theresa Stroble, preceded him in death, Oct. 9, 1956.
Four brothers and one sister also preceded hime in death.
For 32 years, Mr. Cook was employed at Hummer Manufacturing Co. and was the former owner of the Norside Restaurant.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Boyce (Patricia) Pickett, of Decatur; Mrs. Ivan (Marjorie) Krell Jr., of Springfield; five grandchildren; one brother, Robert O. Cook, of Glendale, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews.
Services were at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
