Marguerite Baer

Marguerite G. "Marge" Baer of Eugene died Nov. 22 of cancer. She was 86. No service is planned.

She was born June 7, 1924, in Wenatchee, Wash., to Max and Mabel Danielson Cook. She married Bernard Baer on July 23, 1957, in Hubbard. They later divorced.

She held a bachelor of science degree from Oregon State University and a master's degree from the University of Denver. She worked as a teacher and librarian in Springfield and Eugene.

Survivors include a son, Jeffrey of Eugene; a daughter, Jennifer Baer of Eugene; a sister, Ann Flannery of Rock Tavern, N.Y.; and one grandchild. A daughter, Kathryn Baer, died previously.

Inurnment will be in Hubbard. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Hospice of Sacred Heart or the Eugene Public Library.
