Washington Avenue Woman Dies After Illness of Few Days

Mrs. Alberta Artman, aged 26 years, died at her home on Washington Avenue on Friday evening, February 18 at 11 o'clock, death being attributed to complications. Besides her husband, Clarence Artman, she leaves two daughters, Florence, aged eight years, and Willaverne, aged two weeks. Her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. A.J. Cook, of Parks Township; three sisters, Mrs. Ward Stitt, Mrs. Charles Carney and Mrs. Lawrence Rupert, and two brothers, Raymond and Veryl, all of Parks Township. Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at two o'clock in the Pentecostal Mission conducted by Rev. and Mrs. A. Glunt. Interment was made in the Vandergrift Cemetery.
Those who attended the services from a distance were George Artman and Roy Artman, of Merrysville, Mrs. and Mrs. Ralph Artman and children of McKeesport, Miss Ella Artman, of Export, Mrs. White of Numine, Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Klingensmith, of Pittsburgh, Gilmore Blystone, Miss Ruth Blystone, and Mr. and Mrs. F. Blystone, all of Petrolia, S.B. Blystone of Butler Junction, Miss Emily Smeltzer, of Ford Cityand Miss Hazel Smeltzer of Kittanning.
