Born on June 24, 1930 in New York City, she was the daughter of Mary (MacNamara) Cooke and Eugene Cooke. She was a graduate of Yorkville High School in New York City.
June married Robert V. Baird on May 13, 1968 in Greenwich, CT and together they owned and operated Indian Lake Motel and Restaurant for 22 years. Robert died on August 6, 2007.
June enjoyed cooking and raising her family. She also enjoyed her faithful Shih Tzu, Echo.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Robert, she is predeceased by her first husband, Edmund Newman who died May 1, 1963 and two sons, Michael and William Newman.
