Chico Record, Thursday Morning, July 20, 1916, pg 8 col 7: Mrs. A.W. Coon, 45 [sic] Years Old, Dead. Mrs. Addie Winifred Coon, a resident of Chico for eighteen years, died at her home near the River road in the Northgraves addition at 5 o'clock last evening. Deceased was a native of Massachusetts, where she was born Mary 21, 1861. She was fifty-five years old.
Funeral services will be held in the Fetters & Williams undertaking parlors tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be made in Chico cemetery.
Surviving are the widower, J.N. Coon; two sons, Fred and J.N. Coon Jr.; two brothers, David Cornell of Chico and William Cornell of Iowa, and one sister, Mrs. M.E. Smith of Seattle.
