"Jacob Cooper, a highly respected resident died at his home near Lentsville, Wednesday morning, October 20, 1909, of hardening of the muscles. Mr. Cooper had been in feeble health for some time but had been in his usual condition until about two days before his death when he began rapidly to fail. He was born in the town of Middlefield April 24, 1832, and always resided in that town ... Surviving him are his wife, three sons, Stephen of Lentsville, Edwin of Seneca, Neb., and Albert of Richfield Springs; a daughter, Mrs. William Burch of Cooperstown, and one sister, Mary Smith. The past several winters he had spent with his daughter and granddaughter in Cooperstown The funeral will be held in the Presbyterian church at Middleifeld Centre, Friday morning at 10 o'clock, the Rev.
