"Mrs. Effie A. Burch, aged 78, died August 19, in the Bristol Nursing Home. Mrs. Burch was born June 27, 1872, in Middlefield, a daughter of Jacob and Mary Johnson Cooper. She was married to William Burch in November, 1888. He died in 1913. Surviving are one son, Hiram Burch, Cooperstown; two granddaughters, Mrs. Leslie Hawley, Buffalo, and Miss Ruth Burch, Cooperstown; two great grandsons and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was at 2 p. m. Tuesday from the Ingalls Funeral Home. The Rev. Theodore Conklin, Baptist minister, officiated. Burial was in Lakewood cemetery."
