April 26 – Mrs. Eva Anscomb, wife of Thomas Anscomb, died after a prolonged illness at her home about three miles north of this village near Bear Lake, Wednesday evening, April 21, aged 49 years. Besides her husband she is survived by four sons, Miner, Frank, Henry and Warren and one daughter Anna, all residing at home , a father John Cooper and one brother, George Cooper living in the same neighborhood, Mrs. Anscomb has always lived in this locality and was a regarded as a kind neighbor. The funeral services were held at the family home Saturday afternoon at 1 o’clock, Rev. J. W. Reis, pastor of the Methodist church of Stockton officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. J. W. Reis, Mrs. Claud Brown and Mrs. E. M. Turk. The bearers were J. M. Kelley, O. J. Turk, Charles Blodgett and Wallace Blodgett. Those present from a distance were Mrs. Harvey Hill, Mrs. William Anscomb, Mrs. Nellie Anscomb, Harry Neeves and wife, Emerson Turk, Mrs. Jacob Turk, William Benjamin, Bert Neeves all of Fredonia and Elmer Anscomb and wife of Cassadaga. Interment was made in the Kelley cemetery.
