Olive Romona Covas Sprinkle Calvillo Harris- a lifelong resident of Coden, Al. God called her home June 24, 2010. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Sylvester and Dorothy Covas; three husbands, Herbert Sprinkle, Sr., Felipe Calvillo and John "J J" Harris; two brothers, Pete Covas and Henry Covas; and one grandson, Quintin "Lil Tiny" Sprinkle, Jr. Those to live in her cherished memory include six children--Herbert "Gene" Sprinkle, Jr., Charles "Pee-wee" Sprinkle, Lionel "Rita" Sprinkle, Quintin "Tiny" and "Tina" Sprinkle, Sr., Paul Sprinkle and Angelita "Angie" and Barry Bosarge. She also leaves four sisters--Kitty "Bob" Deakle, Sarah "Ronnie" Collier, Freda "Lin" Clarke and Dawn Grainger; and two brothers, Frances "Patsy" Covas and Alphonce "Joann" Covas. She was a wonderful "MeeMaw" to fifteen grand kids and eighteen great-grand kids. She also has many nieces and nephews and was loved by many friends. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, July 1, 2010, 5:00PM-til, at the First Baptist Church of Bayou La Batre. Funeral services will be Friday, July 2, 2010 at 11:00 A M at the First Baptist Church of Bayou La Batre. Interment will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. All arrangements are provided by Gilmer's Funeral Home.
