Frances Craft Bradshaw, 91, formerly of Alleghany County and currently of Salem, Va., died September 3, 2006. She was born March 14, 1915 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late James Phillip and Florence Craft. She was married to William Ray Bradshaw, who preceded her in death on November 7, 1997.

She was a devoted member of the Church of God for 77 years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Avonelle and Buford G. Cox, Sr., of Salem, Va.; three grandsons, Buford G. (Jerry) Jr. and Betsy Cox, of Palatta, Fla., Willard R. and Kristal Cox, of McCalla, Ala., and Timothy Lee Cox of Salem, Va., and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother and sister-in-law, James and Dale Craft; two sisters, Rebecca Bradshaw and Catherine Reynolds; a sister-in-law, Marie Craft, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A special thanks to Liz Dobbs, Betty Davis, and the staff of Advanta Hospice.

The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, September 6, 2006, 11 a.m. at the Valley Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Connie Wilson officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Lone Star Cemetery, Potts Creek, Va. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Valley Funeral Service.
