. MARGARET BELL KEARNS
EAST LIVERPOOL TRIBUNE
SEPT. 14, 1919
ESTEEMED WOMAN CALLED BY DEATH
Mrs. Margaret Kearns, Found Dead in Bed Sunday Morning.
Retiring apparently in her usual good health, late Saturday night, MRS. MARGARET BELL KEARNS, aged 38, was found dead in bead at 4 o'clock Sunday morning at her home on Louisiana avenue. Death was due to heart trouble.
Awakened by the cries of hiss 17-months0old son, Ray, who is ill, Mr. Kearns went to his wife's room to ascertain why she did not attempt to quiet the child's cries. His wife apparently was sleeping. He attempted to awaken her. When she made on response, Mr. Kearns lighted a light. Her stillness frigtened him. He rushed to the home of neighbors next door and summoned Dr. J. S. Pyle. The physician, upon arrival, pronounced the woman dead. Death he attributed to heart disease.
Mr. and Mrs. Kearns returned from a shopping trip in East Liverpool shortly before 11 o'clock Saturday night. She retired a short time later apparently in good health. How soon the mantle of death folded over her after she retired was not ascertained.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Kearns is survived by the following children: Ekey, Curtis,
ada, Hilda and Ray, all at home; one brother, J. S. Craig of Cedarville, W. Va. and one sister, Mrs. Charles Luke, of Newport, O.
Mrs. Kearns removed to Chester 12 years ago and was well known and highly esteemed. Funeral arrangements had not been completed last night.
