Amanda appears to be often conflated with David's 2nd wife m. 1882 ()Well after the birth of his oldest children), Orpha Ann Josephine Jemison, in Tyler W. Virginia, before he headed west with his family to South Dakota, arriving there in 1887, and later on to San Bernardino County, California, where he passed and was buried. The family arrived in California sometime before Orpha died and was buried in 1933. David survived her also.
