Donald Merle Cram, 78, of Des Moines, IA, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7th, at the Iowa Veterans Home, in Marshalltown. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, Jan. 10th, at the Federated Church of Bondurant in Bondurant, IA. Inurnment will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 10, at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, IA. Online condolences may be sent to www.andersonfhs.com.

Donald was born on June 10, 1935 to Lloyd and Verona Cram in South Portland, Maine. Don loved connecting with people and business was his passion. Donald entered the VA hospital on February 14th, 2012 due to complications of dementia. He fulfilled his dreams by providing for his family and serving his country with honor. He was a Korean War veteran, serving from 1950-1953 as an airplane mechanic with the United States Air Force.

Donald will be missed by his three children; Eric Cram of Des Moines, IA, Melanie (Pat) Cram Webb of Norwalk, IA, and James (Tricia) McCaffrey of Des Moines, IA, four grandchildren, and a sister, Shirley Gainer of Granby, CT;
