Shirley Kathryn (Cranston) Ball 72, was born June 21, 1943 in Garden City Ks, and departed this life on April 27, 2016 in Garden City.

She was a lifelong resident of Garden City and was born to Harry Gerald, and Kathryn (Litzenberger) Cranston, and was the youngest of five children.

On September 18, 1960 she married the love of her life Darryl L. Ball in Garden City, to this union was born three children. (Brenda, Marvin, and Charie Ball)

Shirley was a bus driver and a cooked for the school district USD 457, and during the time that the Sunflower Electric was being built she volunteered and fed some of the Sunflower Electric workers. She was also a café manager at the old Conoco truck stop, and sold Avon as a hobby, but most of all she helped her husband farm for many years, and they both own and operated Ball Trailer Park in Garden City.

Shirley was a member of the Brethren Church; she loved being outdoors, camping, gardening, country and gospel music, genealogy, and was very artistic in many different areas, but most importantly to her was her family.

Shirley was preceded in death by her son Marvin Ray Ball, her parents, a sister Valdah F. (Cranston) Frank, a brother Harry Gerald Cranston Jr., and two brother in-laws Albert Frank and Edward Unruh.

She leaves behind to morn her loss, her husband of the home Darryl, two daughters; Brenda L. and her husband Coy Johnson of Dalhart TX, Charie K. Triplett of Garden City KS; two grandchildren Brian L. Johnson of Amarillo TX, and Jessica D. and her husband Carl Bunch of Garden City KS; one great grandson Shawn H. Bunch and great grand daughter Cheyenne K. Bunch also of Garden City; a sister Dana Unruh of Garden City and a Brother Donald Cranston of Wichita KS, also a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
