Margaret E Burke, died Monday at St. Mary Hospital. She was born March 3, 1896, in Kimeo Community, north of Manhattan. Mrs. Burke was a homemaker and a former cook at the Manhattan Chef Cafe.
She married John F Burke at St. Michael's Chapel in Kimeo on May 2, 1917. He preceded her in death Feb. 14, 1978.
She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Ruth Ann Burke on March 16, 1027; Dorothy Matthews on Dec. 11, 1967; and Rita Katz on June 22, 1983.
Surviving are three sons, Francis Burke, Manhattan, Leo Burke, Engin, Ariz., Paul Burke, Manhattan; Three brothers, Mike Crimmins, Manhattan, John Crimmons, Manhattan, Adrian Crimmins, Kansas City,; one sister Florence Hamilton, Manhattan,; nineteen grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Roary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Cowan-Edwards-Yorgensen Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at seven Dolors Catholic Church with Father Jerome L Morgan a celebrant. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the Kimeo Cemetery, Kimeo, Kansas
