U.S. Congressman. He was the younger brother of U.S. Congressman Henry Crocheron, from New York, was successful in agricultural pursuits. He was also the Sheriff of Richmond County, New York, (1802, 1811, 1821). In 1829, he was elected as a Jacksonian to the Twenty-first Congress, serving until 1831. After his term, he resumed his agricultural interests until his death at age 75.
