The Montgomery Advertiser, Mon., 10 Dec 1917, p. 6 - Mrs. Thirza Jane Champion - Following an illness of long duration, Mrs. Thirza Jane Champion, age 75, died early Sun. morning at the family home, 120 Holt St. Mrs. Champion had made Montgomery her home for the past 25 yrs. & was a much beloved woman. Before coming to this city, Mrs. Champion had resided in Crenshaw county. She was a consistent member of the Primitive Bapt. Ch. Mrs. Champion is survived by a son: M. M. Champion-LaPine & a dau-in-law, Mrs. Blanche Champion of this city. The remains were sent Sun. afternoon to LaPine, where funeral services & interment will take place.
