A native of Spartanburg, she was daughter of Ibera Holt of Converse and the late James Horace Holt.
Formerly employed with the city of Spartanburg, she was of the Baptist faith.
Also surviving are two sons, John Benjamin Cubitt of Atlanta and William B. Cubitt Jr. of Spartanburg; two daughters, Babette Cubitt and Billie Meredith, both of Spartanburg; two brothers, Wayne Holt of Spartanburg and Randy Holt of Atlanta; a sister, Kathy Sandor of Spartanburg; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 1999 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Revs. Sal Barone and Eddie Willis. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorials could be made to the American Heart Association, 364 S. Pine St., Suite B-155, Spartanburg, 29302.
