MRS. MARY C. CONROY
Word was received here Friday of the death of Mrs. Mary (Cullinan) Conroy of Bellows Falls, former resident of Arlington. She was born in Arlington, Aug. 9, 1863 and had celebrated her 101st birthday last Sunday with a family gather.
Mrs. Conroy had been most active until five years ago when she suffered a fractured hip which had kept her confined since that time. She had enjoyed embroidering and her family, friends, and home had been her main interest.
She was married at Arlington several years ago to Dennis Conroy. After the death of Mr. Conroy, she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Hayes, and they have been residents of Bellows Falls for 27 years.
She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Thomas (Cecile) Hayes of Bellows Falls and Mrs. Walter (Ellen) Rapp of Woodbury, Conn.; one son, Philip Conroy of Sarasota, Fla. A son, Edward, died 16 years ago. Three granddaughters and one grandson and six great grandchildren are also left.
Funeral services will be held at the Fenton Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls Monday at 8:30 am. with a prayer and in St. Charles Church at 9 where a Requiem High Mass will be offered by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Barry, longtime friend of the family. Committal services will be held at 1 p.m. at St. Columban's Cemetery, Arlington with the Monsignor reading the committal prayers.
