Mrs. Amy Virginia Alsaker, 28, died at St. Olaf hospital in Austin, MN last Sunday after a lenghthy illness. Funeral services were held at the Congregational church in Sauk Centre yesterday at 2 p.m. wit Rev. Frederick A. Hayes officiating. Interment was at Greenwood cemetery. Born in Sauk Centre on Sept. 4, 1923, the deceased is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Cummings. She attended the Sauk
Centre public school and graduated from high school in 1941. She was married to Elwood Alsaker, of Wheaton, on September 8, 1947 at the Congregational church here. They had resided in Austin since their wedding day. Surviving besides her husband and parents, are five sisters; Mrs. Dale (Thelma) Strong, Glenwood; Mrs. Verle (Melvina) Jackson, Norcross, MN; Mrs. Harold (Billie) Elliott, Osakis; Mrs. Ed (Jerrie) Tieman, Sauk Centre; and Mrs. Richard (Vonnie) Pederson, Sauk Centre. Pallbearers were Dale Strong, Ed Tieman, Richard Pederson, Verle Jackson, Ernest Larson, and John Turner.
