Gloria Patricia Cummins, 52, of No Water District, passed away April 9, 2015 in Crow Agency.
 
"Brings in Morning water" was born March 23, 1963 in Sheridan, Wyo., a daughter of Mary Falls Down and John B. Cummins Jr. Polly Agnes Cummins adopted her and became her teacher, enabling Gloria to become fluent in the Crow language. She received her early education in Lodge Grass and completed her education at the Intermountain School in Brigham City, Utah.
 
Gloria, also known as, "Baby Gloria", married Gary Plenty Buffalo Sr. and he preceded her in death. She became an accomplished horseman at an early age. She broke horses, trained racehorses, barrel raced and jockeyed racehorses most of her life. She enjoyed the outdoors, where she could work as a ranch hand. Her traditional activities included participating in several Sun Dance ceremonies, Sweat Lodge ceremonies and attending the Native American Church and the El Shaddai Church. She particularly enjoyed telling family stories to her friends.
 
Her mother, brother James Cummins Sr., husband, grandmas Gloria Goes Ahead Cummins and Carol Bends Whiteman, and aunt Vikki Falls Down preceded Gloria in death.

Rosary was recited Monday in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Funeral mass was be celebrated Tuesday in the Lodge Grass Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church. Interment followwd in the Cummins Family Cemetery. Bullis Mortuary was entrusted with the arrangements.
