LODGE GRASS — Gloria Sarah Cummins, 80, a Crow historian, of rural Lodge Grass, died tragically on Oct. 4, 2011.

Weasel Song "Utteiishuhe," a name given to her by her elder brother Plain Feather, was born May 16, 1931, in Pryor, a daughter of George Goes Ahead Pretty and Sarah Bull That Shows. Her aunt Alma Small Wall raised her. She grew up in the Pryor area and received her education in Pryor, St. Xavier, Edgar and the Flandreau Indian School.

Gloria married Bernard Cummins in 1950 and the couple made their home in the Lodge Grass, No Water area. She was a member of the Sore Lip Clan and was a Big Lodge Child.
