Clara Ruth Cunningham Baker was born March 2, 1915 in Texas to Arthur F. Cunningham (born 21 Jun 1891 in Cooper, Delta, Texas - died 16 May 1960 in Ventura, Ca) and Mother, Blanch H. (Mason) Cunningham (born 5 May 1894 in Audrain, Missouri - died 13 Feb 1973 in Garden Grove, Orange, Ca) They were married 3 May 1910 in Ballinger, Runnels, TX and together they had 10 children. Ruth's siblings included, A.T., Betty Lou, Bobbie, Marvin A(1911-1911), Sybil Grace(1912-1912), Eva Mae(1913-), Joseph W.(1918-1950), Iva G.(1921-), and Richard E. Cunningham (1923-).

Ruth married Claude Dallas Baker and together they had 7 children; including, Ethel Marie(1942-1999), John Thomas Baker(1949-1969 CPL who served and was killed in Vietnam), Claude Dallas Baker, Jr.(1951-1987, who also served in the Vietnam War) and 4 other Baker children. Clara died on 18 Feb 2007 in Bakersfield, Kern County, Ca. and is laid to rest with her beloved husband, Claude and close to sons, John Thomas and Claude Dallas Jr. She will be deeply missed.
