CURIA MARGARET McINTOSH Passed away in Burlingame, surrounded by her family, caregivers, and Reverend Walter E. Johnson on April 20, 2002. Born in San Francisco on August 21, 1914 to William and Helen Lindsey McIntosh. She was the beloved sister of the late Helen McIntosh, Jeannette Levy and Russell McIntosh. She earned her B.A. from San Francisco State University in 1937 and taught school in Marysville for two years before marrying Dr. G.D. Curia in 1939. In 1949, she and her young family moved into the Ray Park home built by her father, a San Francisco contractor. She taught her children the importance of love, honesty and caring by encompassing them in her embrace and giving them the knowledge and strength to succeed in whatever they attempted. An active volunteer in Lincoln Elementary School P.T.A. and scouting, she was a loyal and generous friend to those she met in high school, college, and in the neighborhood. Devoted wife of 63 years of Dr. G.D. Curia, and loving mother to Susan Pulisci of Burlingame, Janet Sekany of Shingle Springs, Patricia Curia of San Jose, and Thomas Curia of Citrus Heights; sons-in-law Emilio Pulisci and D.J. Sekany; grandchildren Trishia Reed, Marco Pulisci, Jean Sekany Thomas, Nathan Curia and Alex Pulisci and their spouses Greg Thomas and Jennifer Curia. Devoted great-grandmother to Joe and Cassandra Reed and Gabriella Thomas. She is also survived by her cousin David and wife Merna McIntosh and family, her sister-in-law, Lillian McIntosh, her brother-in-law Joseph Curia and wife Alice; niece Victoria McIntosh Cuadra and husband Peter, and nephews Rick Curia and Dr. Donald Curia and their families. In addition, Dr. Jo Jo and Sherry Busterna, Dr. Frank and Angie Busterna, Grace Aragona and family, Al Sunseri, and the late Lena Dempsey. Family and friends will gather at the Curia home for a celebration of Marge's life at a later date.
