COLUMBUS - Patricia M. Briggs, age 70, of 305 Parkview Circle, died on Wednesday, February 24, 1999 at the Columbus Center. She was born on January 19, 1929 in Louisville, KY to Patrick and Mary (Costello) Cusick. She was married to Kenneth Briggs in Louisville on February 12, 1949. She was a graduate of the MATC Madison nursing program, then was employed at Columbus Community Hospital as a nurse for 25 years. She also worked at the Columbus Center.

Survivors include five sons, Kevin (Grace) of Lebanon, TX, Dani (Barb) of Palmyra, Shawn of Tampa, FL, Martin (Ann) of Oregon, Michael (Jennifer) of Appleton; one daughter Kelly Briggs of Whitewater; seven grandchildren, Amy (Brian) Anderson, Goeff Briggs, Jacki and Jeremi Briggs, Sam and Madie Briggs, Katy Briggs; a great granddaughter Autumn Briggs; one brother Gerald (Mary Lou) Cusick of Louisville, KY; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, former husband Kenneth, and one sister Allene Davis. A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 27, 1999 at the Jones-Jensen Funeral Home, Columbus with Father William Hower officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Special thanks to UW-Hospitals East Side Dialysis, and a very special thanks to Rick Hasenfuss, Donna Freimuth, the Poser Clinic, Columbus Community Hospital and the Columbus Center.
