BLADES, Kathleen R. "Icky" - 76, Yarmouth, passed away Monday, January 17, 2005, in Villa St. Joseph, Dayton, Yarmouth Co. Born in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late Rose Alice (Muise) and Joseph M. Cusick, and stepdaughter to the late Maurice LeBlanc; beloved niece of the late aunt, Lil and uncle, Sev Surrette (Yarmouth). She is survived by sons, Kevin (Anne) and Severn (Debby); grandsons, Jonathan (J.W.) and Robbie, all of Ottawa; cousin, Carl Surrette, Yarmouth; many nieces and nephews. She was supported in her life by many close and dear friends. She was predeceased by her husband, F. Winfield Blades; son, Garnet; grandson, Kirk; brother, Charles "Brother"; Francis "Bronco"; sisters, Alberta "Cackie", Bernetta "Doot", Lillian "Tookie", and Anita. Visitation was held Wednesday in H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Yarmouth. Funeral mass will be Friday, January 21, at 1 p.m. in Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, Bond Street, Yarmouth. Spring burial in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Trillium Child Cancer Support Centre, Hamilton, Ont. Thanks to the staff of Villa St. Joseph for the wonderful care and concern shown during her stay there.
