MADISON - Bernice N. Cutler, age 91, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005. She was born on March 12, 1914, in Ong, Nebraska, a daughter of Albert and Esther Nelson. Bernice graduated from Ong High School. She had been a resident of Madison since 1936. On Aug. 15, 1940, Bernice married LeRoy Cutler at the home of her parents, in Nebraska. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 15, 1990. Bernice worked for the State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation for 35 years. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, the Altar Guild, Bethel Senior Citizens, and the XYZ Center. Bernice was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 623
Auxiliary and a life member of Olbrich Botanical Gardens. She is survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy; parents; and a sister. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 19, 2005. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at
the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
