A memorial service will be held March 4 for Margret C. Albertus of Eugene, who died Feb. 21 of respiratory failure. She was 84.

She was born Aug. 11, 1921, in Stillwater, Minn., to George and Sophia Johnson Cutler. She married Russell Albertus on Aug. 17, 1946, in Stillwater. He died Feb. 2, 1974.

She held a bachelor's degree in home economics from the University of Minnesota. She worked as a home economics teacher.

Albertus was a member of P.E.O., Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Lane County Extension Homemakers Council and study group. Her family will remember her as a dedicated volunteer. She took flowers to nursing homes, transported and helped the elderly, and distributed food and clothing for FISH. She served on the Lane County Election Board and was active in Church Women United and the Clovia Sorority.

Survivors include two sons, George of St. Louis and John of Port Orchard, Wash.; a daughter, Jane Albertus of Portland; and four grandchildren.

Saturday's service will be at 2 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Eugene. Valhalla Chapel in St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Marguerite P.E.O. Scholarship Fund, the Lane County Extension Homemakers Council, the Beta of Clovia Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.
