DEFOE, Ella Mae, age 75 of Rochester Hills, died December 17, 2013. Loving wife of Max for 57 years. Cherished mother of Carolyn Schmidt, Nancy (David) Broecker, Max (Debbie), Gary (Becky), and Scott (Karen) Dafoe. Dear sister of Robert (Linda) Rossman and Nancy (Robert) Harter. Also survived by 8 grandchildren. Ella was a teacher at Brooklands Elementary and Reuther Middle School in Rochester Hills.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 19, 2013, 4-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. time of sharing at the Modetz Funeral Home, 100 E. Silverbell Rd., Orion. Service Friday, 11 a.m. at Guardian Angel Cemetery, 4701 Rochester Rd., Oakland Twp. Online guestbook www.modetzfuneralhomes.com
