DEATH WITNESS FOUND
2 Men Admit Leaving Woman's Body on Street
Identity of companions of Mrs. Clara Dahl, 1265 East Yamhill street, found dead on the parking strip at East Forty-fifth and Burnside streets early Monday morning was established at police headquarters yesterday morning when James P. Hendryx, 60, salesman, 3734 67th avenue southeast, and John Kerby Johnson,33, truck driver, 6805 55th avenue Southeast, admitted having placed Mrs. Dahl on the parking after she had died in the machine in which the three were riding.
Mrs. Dahl died shortly before midnight after the three had been riding since the early part of the night. All three had been drinking, the men stated. When the two men found Mrs. Dahl dead, they became frightened and placed her on the parking, thinking perhaps their identity would not be discovered.
A coroner's inquest will probably be held Friday, it was announced yesterday.
