A memorial service for Donna Dahl Auestad of North Portland, a retired registered nurse, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in University Park United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Auestad died of cancer Thursday in her home at the age of 70.
She was born Feb. 25, 1920, in Waubay, S.D. She lived in Pasadena, Calif., before moving to Grants Pass, where she graduated from high school. She had lived in Portland since the late 1930s.
She graduated from the St. Vincent Hospital nursing school in 1945 and later was involved in the master's program at the University of Oregon School of Nursing.
Mrs. Auestad had worked for the Oregon Affilate of the American Heart Association and had been a public health nurse for the city of Portland and Multnomah County until her retirement in 1982.
In 1989, Mrs. Auestad was honored with the Outstanding Service Award from the Association for Retarded Citizens. A charter member of the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Northwest Oregon, she belonged to University Park United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Judy Griffen, Nancy Ingram, Bev Auestad, her sister, Carol Broderick & 4 grandchildren.
Private interment will be in Skyline Memorial Gardens.
