Jack Earle Waymon Daniel, 77, of 1003 Rutherford Road, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at his residence.

Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Earle Waymon and Bernardine Morgan Daniel.

Mr. Daniel was the retired owner of Asphalt Sealing Contractor and was a member of the American Legion Post #3. He was a United States Navy veteran.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Julie Lynn and Ronnie Riddle of Greenville; a son, Charles Earle Daniel of Greenville; a sister, Loretta Cantrell of Greenville; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society , 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 3, 2009 from 11 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the downtown chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family will be at the residence.
