OBIT: OSSEO – Edna M. Carter, 85, of Osseo died Saturday night at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire. Edna, the daughter of Agathan and Anna (Bue) Davidsons, was born May 24, 1906, in the Town of Unity, Trempealeau County. She married Walter Carter April 17, 1938, in Osseo. He preceded her in death September 2, 1988. They owned the Corner Café in Osseo from 1937 to 1946. They purchased Carter's Variety Store in 1947, from which they retired in 1971. She is survived by two daughters, Roxana Jean Bradney of Berdthoud, Colo., Mary Ellen Henkelman of Rothschild; four grandchildren and one great-grandson. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Church of Christ in Osseo, with Rev. Penny VandeBerg officiating. Burial will be in Osseo Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Schiefelbein Funeral Home, Osseo, and one hour prior to services at the church Tuesday.
