Betty is also survived by her two nieces, Ann and Lisa; a nephew, Mark; three stepchildren, Kathleen, Joseph and Theresa; four stepgrandchildren; and her two stepgreat-grandchildren, with two more on the way. Betty grew up in Minneapolis, and resided most of her adult life in Las Vegas. She worked for 30 years with EG & G and retired as an executive senior secretary. Betty was very active in her church, Our Lady of Las Vegas. She served in the Thursday morning fellowship and religious study group for many years. Betty had a passion for roses and she belonged to the Las Vegas Rose Society for over 10 years. Betty had a delightful sense of humor that became richer later in life, which she shared with those around her. She loved music and dancing and could often be found dancing with her granddaughters and their friends at the many family gatherings. Service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow at Davis Memorial Park. Betty was often heard to say, "laughter is the best medicine"! Betty will be missed.
