Carolyn’s husband of over 60 years, Paul S. Adams Jr., passed away in January of 2010. She missed and prayed with him every day.
Carolyn was born January 12, 1931 to Benjamin and Mary Louise Davis of Glassboro, NJ. After raising 9 children she earned her high school diploma in 1968 and attended Brandywine College for 2 years. She worked for over 20 years as a paraprofessional in the Christina School District. Carolyn worked on several committees at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish along with her husband. She was a founding member of the parish. She was the 2008 honoree of the Legend Foundation which recognized her heroic journey with breast cancer. Carolyn worked for many volunteer organizations such as Meals on Wheels, Christiana High School Athletic Booster Club, and mentored with her husband at many local schools. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, telling stories and spoiling all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nobody ever left her house without some kind of treat!
Carolyn’s 9 children who miss her today and always are, Karen Valentine (Jack), Kathleen Gill (Larry), Paul Kim (Josie), P. Kyle (Diane), P. Keith, all of Newark DE, P. Kelli Sellers (Ed) of Mt. Olive AL, P. Kerry (Donna Jacobs) of Ocean View NJ, P. Katrina Gilardi (Mike) of Hockessin DE and P. Kecia McEntee (Bob) of Gulph Mills PA. She also will be greatly missed by 25 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
