She retired from JC Penney's after 25 years of service. Harriett attended Northside Church of God for many years. She enjoyed baking and collecting precious moments. Harriett will be sadly missed by her beloved family and friends.
Survivors include her one son, Rick (Cindy) Birt of New Carlisle; one grandson, Ricky Birt of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Birt in 1991; one son, Jeff E. Birt and two brothers, Alfred and Walter Davy.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 5-7 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Howard Benson officiating.
Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Harriett's memory.
