June A. Baker, 75, of Amarillo died Wednesday, March 6, 2013.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Oasis Southwest Baptist Church, 8201 Canyon Drive, with Dr. Chester Beavers officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.
June was born June 5, 1937, in Knox City. She was raised in Borger, and married Billy B. Baker on Jan. 16, 1953. She was a resident of Amarillo for 58 years. June was employed for Save-A-Stop/Hanes distribution for 17 years. She also was employed for PrintCo for one year and U-Haul for five years and was a registered family child provider for nine years. June was a loving and caring mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy B. Baker.
Survivors include six children, Jerry Baker and wife Peggy, Jackie Hower, Kelly Denham and husband Jeremy, DeeAnn Sheppard, Mark Baker and wife Vicki and Sheree Early and husband Tony; 19 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, O'dell Russell.
The family suggests memorials be to Amarillo Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 11901 S. Coulter St., Amarillo, TX 79119.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
