Jonathan∼William Dawes married by 1642, Susanna Mills, born about 1623 (deposed 5 May 1683 "aged about sixty years;" deposed 2 Mar 1693/4 "aged about 70 years," daughter of JOHN MILLS {1630, Boston}. She died after 27 Feb 1694[/5] (when she acknowledged a deed with her husband. (In his will of 12 Jan 1677[/8], John Mills bequeathed to "my only son John Mills" & to "his sisters Mary Hawkins & Susannah Dawes.")
They had 7 children: Ambrose, Joanna, Susan Nichols, William, Johanna (possibly Barnes), Hannah, & Jonathan.

Her mother was not Susanna. (Susanna was John Mills' second wife, married 15 Jan 1628/9.) Her mother was John's first wife, Catheryn (Scotson) Mills, married at All Saints Sudbury, Co.Suffolk on 5 Feb 1615/6.

If you check the records for Third Church of Boston (Old South), I believe you'll find that Susannah was married to the first William Dawes to have immigrated and stayed in New England. Susannah (aka "Goody Dawes") joined Old South in 1674.
