Bonnie was a resident of Jasper, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vaughn Ervin and Edith Dawkins; a sister, JoAnn Simpson; and 2 brothers, Billy Ray and Ebb Dawkins.
Bonnie was survived by her former husband, a daughter, and a son. Other survivors, at the time of her death, included 6 sisters, 2 brothers, 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A sister, Ruby Jean Dawkins Yessick, and a brother, Von "Bud" Dawkins, died in November of 2011. Her sister Mary Ellen Dawkins Sides died in 2013.
Funeral services were held July 26, 2011 in the Collins-Burke Chapel, Jasper AL.
