Dorothy Ocoma Dawkins Andrews - SAVANNAH - Dorothy Ocoma Dawkins Andrews, 71, of Savannah, died Saturday, May 26, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Dublin, Ga., to the late Wylie Lenton Dawkins and Christine McDaniel Dawkins, and moved to Savannah at an early age. She was a graduate of Groves High School - Class of 1958, which was the first Graduating Class of the School, where she ran for Miss Groves High School. She enjoyed family, gardening, sewing, bird watching, scrap booking, cooking, and her dogs. She is survived by her husband, Ferrell Buford Andrews, Sr., of Savannah, GA; son, Ferrell B. Andrews, Jr., (Vicky) of Estero, Florida; daughter, Cheryl Andrews Bland (Scott), of Savannah, GA; 4 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Fairhaven Funeral Home & Crematory, 2794 W. US Highway 80, Garden City, GA 31408. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel of the Fairhaven Funeral Home, with Rev. Jonathan Phillips, pastor of Silk Hope Baptist Church, officiating.
