Born- Helidon, Churchill Dist.(now E.Ipswich), wife of Thomas Dawson(1860-1947). Daughter of Michael Dillon(1829-1876) and Margaret Reidy(1830-1875). After parents' death at early age, Catherine and siblings, Helena and Michael placed in orphanage in Nudgee until grown. Catherine spent five years there. Was a 'bound servant' until she married Thomas Dawson, 25 Apr 1887, in Gympie,Q'ld.
