Mrs. Moore Sanborn Will Be Laid to Her Last Rest in Rosedale Cemetery
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today for Mrs. Moore Sanborn, daughter of the late Gen. Samuel K. Dawson, who died Monday at her home, 938 West Twenty-eighth street. Following last rites at the residence, with Dean Beale of St. Paul's Cathedral officiating, interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Sanborn was 66 years of age, and came to Los Angeles thirty years ago from Eastport, Me., where she was born. Her first husband was the late Dr. James B. Grady, long an associate of Dr. Weir Mitchell of Philadelphia. Eligible for membership in the Colonial Dames, Daughters of the American Revolution and kindred associations, she never was active in them, but became a prominent factor in the affairs of the Ebell, Friday Morning, Ruskin Art and other Los Angeles clubs. Her home was adorned by military commissions issued her father by Presidents Van Buren and Lincoln.
She leaves two sons, John W. and J. Dawson Grady, two daughters, Gwendolyn Grady and Mrs. George W. Grimm and five grandchildren, Marilyn, William and James Grady, Jr., and Molly and Gwen-Adele Grimm.
